Therapy For Neck Cough
Allergic Rhinitis and Hayfever

Your allergic tendencies are probably the cause of your neck cough. Please see the section "General Therapy". Since it is difficult to avoid allergens one must look at a way to decrease the allergic response and improve symptoms. This could be achieved over the long term with immune therapy administered by an allergist however this takes time and is not always effective. Quicker relief with medications is available. The antihistamines are useful when allergies are caught reasonably early. In my experience these will not eliminate the cough. Inhaled nasal steroids which come in small canisters are effective in improving the cough. Rarely are stronger medications required.
