Pauletta M. Chanco
Pauletta M. Chanco is an abstract painter working primarily in encaustic on wood panel and mixed media on linen or canvas. Her work is inspired by spirituality and its connection to the process of painting. Her most recent paintings are inspired by the jeweled tones of learning on the spiritual path and what happens when insight occurs in the profane.
“Cultivating Light,” encaustic work on wood panel, was the first painting of 2006 which Pauletta executed and exemplifies the discipline and rigor involved in cultivating insight balanced by the exhilaration of freedom and space. |
